iTunes U

iTunes U, a partnership between Apple and certain universities to offer audio and video content through iTunes, involves mostly unis in the US.

However, at least one institution in France is apparently also using iTunes U, according to this post from mathieu’s blog.

courses and lectures at the iTunes music store

Yes! The iTunes music store has a category called courses and lectures, a list of podcasts that you can subscribe to and learn something. And I found one to subscribe to right away: learnitalianpod.com, made by italian teachers, presented in nice, short, learnable chunks.

What more to make an ipod learner happier? ;)

iTunes to iTunes

If you want to add some music or other audio to iTunes and you have the files already in iTunes format (from your other computer, for instance)…

…just copying it into the iTunes Music folder won’t do the trick. You have to do it from within iTunes, using the File > Add to Library menu. That way, iTunes knows what it’s putting where and hooks up all the tags correctly.
