Patrick’s talk was the winner for me today at the Swiss Virtual Campus Days 2007 in Bern (and not just because it was the last one I listened to before going home ;-). His talk was about what elearning might look like in the next few years. He emphasized ways we might use technology to allow students to convert information into knowledge, rather than encouraging them to “learn” something only to promptly forget it after the exam.
Here are two thoughts to take home:
“You can’t buy knowledge. You have to build it.”
“We don’t design content. We design learning situations.”
